Wendy Levinson began her career on the editorial side of publishing, first at St. Martin’s Press, then at HarperCollins. After a time in the motion picture business, she joined the Harvey Klinger Literary Agency as an agent specializing in narrative nonfiction and literary fiction. She is a graduate of Amherst College and a native New Yorker. Wendy considers herself a hands-on, editorially driven agent who loves discovering new voices and nurturing careers. She is drawn to literary/upmarket contemporary fiction and near-historical fiction. She loves beautifully crafted prose that maps the intimate terrain of relationships, and she enjoys family sagas and narratives about friendship and marriage. Wendy also works frequently with narrative nonfiction, cultural and social history, popular science, and memoir.
