He is a regular contributor to Poets & Writers magazine, where his author profiles have included Ann Beattie, John Casey, Andre Dubus III, Richard Ford, and Richard Russo. He is ​a contributing editor ​at the online journal Fiction Writers Review and serves on the advisory boards of the Beloit Poetry Journal and the Maine Review. He is currently working as the series editor for a three-volume edition of the collected short stories of Andre Dubus.
